Eid’ Adha
by vixidem on Nov.30, 2009, under Landscape and Nature, Potraiture
Eid’d Adha. A meaningful term and symbolize the great sacrifice. No need for further explaination.
Spending extra hours on the road because ‘highway’ jam is also a great sacrifice.
And this is a set of photos that I have captured. There is a lot of photos, but if I load them up here, it will slows down the website.
I’ve pushed the ISO even to 1600,some of the photos are very ‘noisy’. I don’t want to use the speedlight, to make sure the shot was unnoticed, and the expression will be as natural as possible.
Enjoy. And let’s sacrifice.
It Was Boring, But It Was Interesting

The tons of works is halfway done as all of the documentation for the clinical atttachment have been submitted. But still, there is presentation around the corner.
I don’t know why, but my urge to shoot lately is on it’s max. Shoot+guitar all the time. And all the work was kept being postponed.
This is a set of photos that I have captured during this past two days. There are no themes for this set because I just shoot whenever I feel I want to. So, dont expect a set of photos that can tell you stories. This set is just ‘moments’ that happened in the days plus one photo of me bursted a laughter
I have set up a new plugin for this website so that people won’t have to scroll too much to see the photos, and save their waiting time. So, starting from this post, there will be thumbnails only on the front pages, no more big photos that require hours to load ( Streamyx is stupid.Potong if you can! Hehe! )
Just click on the thumbnail to view on large.
Enjoy!
Moving While Craving

“Masa sedang mencemburui saya”.
Tons of work awaiting just right in front of me.
These photos was captured after the meeting. I brought along the camera because I am craving too shoot.
The captions for all the photos does not mean anything. It was just a phrase that lingered in my mind at the moment.
- Tokina 12-24mm (why this lens is so in love with me?)
- f/4
- Aperture priority
- Post-processing in Adobe Photoshop CS4
Night Night Night
by vixidem on Nov.21, 2009, under Potraiture
This is not the latest set of photos by me, but this is the only set that I never published before (before this I am using Flickr as my main photoblog). The photos are from the barbeque at Bull’s house, somewhere in early November. These are not my best photos, as I am very bad in shooting at night.
I am too lazy to put the EXIFF data. But the basic setting was:
- SB600 on camera with standard i-TTL mode.
- Tokina 12-24mm at F/4 (aperture priority mode)
- Agitate the camera!
The Urge To Shoot
by vixidem on Nov.20, 2009, under Landscape and Nature
Lately, the rain was like pouring non-stop. I want to go for an outing, but my camera is not waterproof. So, here is a photo that I snapped from 11th floor of Brunsfield Apartment. There is a sugar factory at Batu Tiga, near the Stesyen Komuter. I’m not sure whether sugar factory produce pollutive by-products, but if it is not pollutive, why they release them in the middle of the night?
One of my friend requested me to put the EXIFF data here,so here it is:
(note that I can only do this for a post with least amount of photos)
EXIFF data:
- Aperture: f/4 (without tripod, opening up wide like this was the only option)
- Shutter speed: 1.6 sec. (hand-helded!)
- ISO: 400 (I just dont like to crank up the ISO much higher , a lot of details will diminished)
- Focal lenght: 24mm (with a Tokina 12-24mm) equivalent to 36mm on full frame.
Birds: Colors and Prison

And the photo below is [anis] with the Bay Owls trio. This trio captured my attention with their big, strange face and big black eyes. What makes them more adorable is, they made a side-by-side rocking together while being touched. Geram!!
But still, I would like to see them while they are free from being chained here. Suddenly a question popped in my mind: What if the cute rocking motion means : “Free me”
:’(
Me and [anis] went to Penang Bird Park. I was very surprised because before this, I don’t think birds are so adorable, especially the Bay Owl ( the malay name is quite irony, burung hantu, but seriously, it is so cute). So, Bay Owl is now my second favourite animal after cats. However, being there for some time triggered a thought, whether should the bird live in their very own natural habitat instead of being chained in the bird park. The bird park’s website mentions that these birds had been bred and hatched in captivity, so they probably don’t know better. But still, I believe that they would like to roam freely in the world granted by God to them, and all of us.
I Am Victorious
by vixidem on Nov.10, 2009, under Potraiture
After days of recapping about HTML,CSS and PHP, finally I managed to setup the blog just like what I’ve imagined in my mind. I imagined a photoblog without the ‘blogspot’ or ‘wordpress’ in the URL, and the design is simple and can show bigBIGbigBIG photos which will make my poor writing skills unnoticed.hehe. Really, I want people to look at my photos, and not the design of the websites or my funny writings. And this set of photos is the first that I want to share because this is a set of photos of the person who influenced me a lot in whatever I do
Just say it, whether it is guitar, photography, study, she somehow made me to strive for the best. Enjoy!
